Matter integrates ESG and sustainability insights into Nasdaq eVestment, the world's largest institutional investment database

Matter has established a partnership with Nasdaq Capital Access Platforms and eVestment to provide ESG analysis across the largest institutional investment database in the world.

Copenhagen, September 20, 2023 - Matter has expanded its partnership with Nasdaq to provide environmental, social and governance (ESG) analysis within Nasdaq eVestment, the largest institutional investment database in the world, covering USD 52 trillion in assets under management (AUM).

The partnership will integrate Matter's sustainability insights directly into the Nasdaq eVestment platform to help asset owners and asset managers globally build a comprehensive picture of the sustainability of institutional investment strategies. Clients using the platform can combine quantitative analyses based on the holdings of their institutional strategies, with the qualitative insights gathered through manager surveys by Nasdaq eVestment.

Going forward, Nasdaq eVestment users can:

  • Access ESG profiles for up to 8,000 strategies on the platform
  • Analyze each strategy against a range of granular ESG metrics
  • Compare strategies to each other, their benchmarks and universes

Enhancing Sustainability Data for Asset Owners and Asset Managers

Increasingly, asset managers and owners are demanding enhanced data to quantify and qualify their ESG policies and strategies. For asset owners, engaging individually with asset managers on ESG disclosures can be a cumbersome and time-consuming process while managers are looking for ways to demonstrate impact and portfolio differentiation.

Matter's integration with Nasdaq eVestment addresses these industry challenges by providing transparent access to the data that institutional investors can use to better assess risk and exposure while unlocking opportunities.

“Through the partnership with Nasdaq eVestment, Matter will support allocators and managers responsible for some of the most significant and complex investment decisions in the world across more than 8,000 institutional equity strategies covering trillions of dollars,” said Matter CEO, Niels Fibaek-Jensen.  “This collaboration is an integral part of our mission to make transparent sustainability insights more accessible to investors.”
