Deanna Rodger is an award-winning writer and performer (former UK poetry champion). She is a forerunner in the UK poetry scene, with accolades from ELLE UK (30under30 inspirational women), HC100 Rising Star, Benjamin Zephaniah – with whom she teaches the Writing for Performance module at Brunel University – and theatres including Roundhouse Camden, Lyric Hammersmith and Young Vic. She has written for National Youth Theatre (2012 Olympic Team welcome Ceremony, Buckingham Palace), Somewhere to_ (Downing street, Treasury), BBC (Women who Spit Iplayer, 1Xtra, Freespeech), Sky News (Morning Thoughts) and regularly performs internationally.
Renown for her passion on and off stage, Deanna is co-founder and member of Chill Pill, Come Rhyme With Me and Keats House Poetry Forum. She is currently developing an installation which explores the relationship human beings have with light.
